I Dreamed A Dream

Italian translation by hanna

I dreamed a dream in the past, in
time of great hope,
when life was lived.
I dreamed that love would never die.
dreamed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid And dreams were made and used and lost

that no ransom to be paid no track

unknown wine I tasted

But the tigers come at night With their voices
of thunder and
here is the tear that shakes the dream and hope
disfigured in shame

And yet his arrival

dream to live together in the years
But there are dreams illusory

And there are storms we can not resist.

I had a dream that he saw my life so different

so different now from how it seemed Now life has killed

the dream I dreamed.
