How Long Does It Take To Thaw Sausages In Fridge

Alarm for the Italian glaciers:

Saint Vincent, July 2, 2007 - The 800 Italian glaciers are melting, and the heat grows on the Alps at a rate twice the plains and the coasts of Europe. Alpine glaciers have lost over the past 20 years, 20% of their extension. But the process of deglaciation is expected to worsen with advancing climate change.

Rising temperatures caused by global climate change will be faster in the Alps on the rest of the country: today at a rate double, with a growth rate of average temperature between 1.5 and 2 degrees in ' last century, while the rest of Europe amounted to less than one degree (0.950). This is covered in the workshop "Climate change and environment nivo - glacial: background and prospects for adaptation", held on 2 and 3 July in St. Vincent.

The appointment is the fourth stage approach to the National Conference on Climate Change, commissioned by the Ministry of the Environment and organized by APAT - Agency for the Protection of the Environment and for Technical Services, in Rome 12 and 13 September.

As discussed in the workshop, studies on the French side of the Alps, on average, less exposed to solar radiation and heat waves, have estimated that an increase temperature of 1.8 degrees causes a reduction in the duration of snow cover of 20% (30-40 days) at 1500 meters. The

the 20% rule also applies in general for the reduction of frost days, ie periods where the temperature goes below zero between 1961 and 2004, fell just about 20%. The workshop aims Sain Vicent the development of technical proposals and legislation for the adaptation to the phenomena of deglaciation in place.

Among the participants, Edmund Nocerino, general manager of ARPA Valle d'Aosta, Luciano Caveri, president of the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta, Alberto Cerise, Councillor for Planning, Environment and Public Works of Region, Roberto Caracciolo, director of the Department of apathy and Luca Mercalli, Italian Meteorological Society.
